A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Revs. John Carlisto and C. Thomas Midyette III officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
She was a graduate of Queens College in Charlotte where she earned a degree in music. She previously served as the children's choir instructor of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where she was an active member.
Survivors include her husband, Claud R. Wheatly Jr.; sons, Claud R. Wheatly III, David Aiken Wheatly, Jule D. Wheatly and George Edward Wheatly, all of Beaufort; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at home.
