Marshall Aiken Sturkie, 91, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Daniel Onan Sturkie entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 6, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018, in Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church, 210 Andrew Chapel Road, Swansea, SC 29160 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Andrew Chapel United Methodist Churchyard. A memorial service will be held in the Rodenberg Chapel, Franke at Seaside at a later date. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC.. WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.

Marshall was born May 11, 1926, in Winnsboro, South Carolina, daughter of the late James Haygood Aiken and Rose Amick Aiken. She helped organize the Caw Caw Volunteer Fire Dept, Calhoun County. She was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church, a longtime member of the church choir and was an avid Clemson fan.

She is survived by her daughter, Madeline S. Goehring (Richard) of Charleston, SC; son, James A. Sturkie (Kathy) of Waynesboro, GA; son, Daniel R. Sturkie (Elizabeth) of Anchorage, AK; six grandchildren, Lauren Ashley Calhoun, Melissa Wingard (David), Taylor Sturkie (Katherine), Alex Sturkie, Jason Sturkie, Daniel Sturkie,; six great-grandchildren, Taylor, Hadley Grace, Landon, James, Gray, Davis and special friend, Annabelle Jenkins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Gwendolyn Olivia Sturkie. The family wishes to express their thanks to Lutheran Hospice and all the staff at Frankie.
