A PIONEER OF COUNTY DIES AT CENTERVILLE

Peter Neilitz, one of the pioneer settlers of the town of Newton, having located there fifty-four years ago, died at Centerville, Friday, aged 84 years.

Funeral services will be held from St. Wendel church, Monday morning at 9 with burial at Nordheim cemetery.

Mr. Neilitz was well and favorably known and highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. He was born in Germany May 29, 1938 (sic) and in 1868 located in Newton upon his arrival in America.

His wife died ten years ago and he is survived by eight children, Mrs. Frank Kiepke, Mrs. John Hogan, Mrs. Anton Schwartz, of Chicago; Mrs. Fred Wenner, Cleveland, O.; Mrs. Charles Schmelle, Sheboygan, Mrs. John Kotowski, Anton Neilitz, this city and Mrs. Henry Schmitt, of Centerville.

During the last year of his life Mr. Neilitz made his home with his daughter Mrs. Schmitt.
