He was born in Oshkosh Oct. 23, 1913, the son of George and Anna Hannemann Hartman. He married Vivian Epprecht July 6, 1948.
Mr. Hartman was employed in the warehouse at the Paine Lumber Co. until his retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Vivian; four brothers, Albert (Evelyn) Hartman of Vista, Calif., Ed Hartman of Oshkosh, Raymond (Lois) Hartman of St. Charles, Ill., and Ralph (Rita) Hartman of Cranston, R.I.; three sisters, Helen (Herman) Hoppe, Lillian Hartman and Elaine (Leo) Muza, all of Oshkosh; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Walter "Charlie" Hartman of Manitowoc, and a sister, Delores Popke of Oshkosh.
Private services will be held at the Fiss & Bills Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas V. Asuma officiating. Burial willl be in Riverside Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
