Eugene Ernest Parks, the son of the late Emmett and Ora Seager Parks, was born in Chaffee, MO on November 1, 1921 and passed away at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, MO on November 14, 2005, at the age of 84 years and 13 days.
He had lived in Southeast Missouri and the Dexter area all his life.
He was a Baptist.
He had worked as a carpenter.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
On July 4, 1942, he was married to Wanda Hyslop in Acorn Ridge, MO.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda Parks of Dexter, MO; three daughters, Lisa Coleman of Dexter, MO; Kathy Holt of Nampa, ID; Jeanie Lantz of South Carolina; one son, Dale Parks of Dexter, MO; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Doyle Parks and one sister, Bonnie Christian.
Friends may call November 17, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, MO. Funeral services will be November 18, 2005, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, MO with the Rev. Karen Oldham and Bonnie Cross both of Dexter, MO officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico, MO.
