Kathryn Jane Johnson, 60, of Nampa, passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 at her home, surrounded by family and friends after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Kathy was born June 16, 1952 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Gene and Wanda Hyslop Parks.
She married Tom D. Wistrom on June 6, 1969 and to this union two children were born, Tom A. Wistrom and Kelly Ann Ashcraft. Later they were divorced and Kathy met and married the love of her life, Chuck Johnson, in August 1988.
Kathy worked at Canyon County Planning and Zoning since 1993. She enjoyed gardening and loved to "yard sale". She was a kind, fun, energetic loving grandmother, parent and friend to everyone she knew.
Kathy is survived by her children, Tom, of Boise and Kelly, of Nampa; sister, Jeanie (Jeff) Lantz, of So.Car. and brother Dale (Debbie) Parks of Missouri; grandchildren: Ashley, Hayden and Jayce Ashcraft, of Nampa, Emily Hamilton, of Boise and Ryker Masson, of Idaho Falls; numerous nieces and nephews and loving friends; and her loving cat, Sparkles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck, her parents and a sister, Lisa Ann Coleman.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Christian Faith Center, 31 S. Midland Blvd, Nampa.
