Dale Lee Parks, son of the late Gene Parks and Wanda Hyslop Parks was born on May 9, 1947 and departed this life on March 1, 2018 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 70.

Dale was the former owner of Faye’s Bakery for 31 years. Dale enjoyed shuttling his grandchildren, restoring older automobiles, was active in various car clubs and car shows.

He was united in marriage to Debbie Lay on December 22, 1989 in Bloomfield. Mrs. Parks survives of their residence in Dexter.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Lee and his wife Melissa Parks of Cape Girardeau, Tyler Pullum and Travis Pullum both of Dexter; by two daughters, Sherry Gibson of Jackson, Whitney Parks of Dexter; by one sister, Jeannie Lantz of Coal Valley, Illinois, by grandchildren, Ben Williams and wife Kayla of Jackson, Rebecca Williams of Jackson, Tristin Pullum of Dexter, Tara Pullum of Dexter, Elliott Parks of Cape Girardeau, Houser Pullum of Poplar Bluff; by two great grandchildren, Jasmine and Drake Williams of Jackson; by three beloved cats, Stripes, Black and Piper of the home.

He is preceded in death by his parents; by one son, Alex Parks; by two sisters, Lisa Coleman and Kathy Johnson.

Friends may call Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 12:00 (Noon) to 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
