LUCY LENA JACKSON
January 14, 1902 ~ May 1, 1995

Lucy Lena Caldwell Jackson, 93, of Idabel, died Monday in Oak Grove Manor Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 14, 1902, at Goodwater.

A homemaker, Jackson was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Idabel. She was preceded in death by her husband, D. J. Jackson ; two sons, Carl Jackson and Joe Jackson; and two granddaughters, Karen Tapley Bean and Patricia Hill.

Survivors include four daughters, Lucille Evans of Foreman, Ark., Dixie Hill of Grand Prairie, Texas, Evelyn Tapley of Mesquite, Texas, and Dorothy McGee of Irving, Texas; two brothers, Dan Caldwell and Earl Caldwell, both of DeQueen, Ark.; three sisters, Beulah Hornbeck of Broken Bow, Mary Lou Nunn of Ada and Ida Pierce of Haworth; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Calvary Baptist Church of Idabel with the Rev. James Kesner officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Goodwater under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home of DeQueen, Ark.
