LEO M. HOLSCHBACH
(1927 - 2016)

Leo M. Holschbach, age 89, formerly of 3635 Wagon Wheel Road, Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, April 21, 2016 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on April 15, 1927 in Manitowoc, son of the late Peter and Emma (Vogel) Holschbach. Leo was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1945. On April 17, 1948 he married Betty Jane Gerroll at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Leo was employed at Eck Industries for 37 years until his retirement and was a member of the Molder's Union. He was a member of the Branch Volunteer Fire Department for 31 years. Leo also volunteered at the Manitowoc Historical Society, St. Vincent DePaul and the Manitowoc Senior Center. He enjoyed rebuilding coaster wagons, wood working, reading and bird watching. Leo & Betty enjoyed taking bus trips with the Senior Center.

Survivors include his wife: Betty, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Debra and Bill Birkholz, Manitowoc; three sons and one daughter-in-law: Michael and Vickee Holschbach, Neenah, Stephen Holschbach, Menasha, Daniel Holschbach, Manitowoc; eight grandchildren: Tonya Johnson, Lindsay (Mike) Kemker, Brenda (Kyle), Jason, Nicholas, Todd, Beau (Andrea), Maria (Shawn); five great-grandchildren: Connor, Eddie, Liam, Jayden and Ryker; one brother: William Holschbach, Manitowoc; three sisters and one brother-in-law: Jeanette Korinek, Ione Pankratz and Amy and Bob Kaufman, all of Manitowoc; and two sisters-in-law: Phyllis Leschig and Joycelyn Gerroll. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by one son: Anthony Holschbach; parents: Peter and Emma Holschbach; one brother and sister-in-law: Reiny and Jeanette Holschbach, two brothers-in-law: James Korinek and Marvin Pankratz; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jean Holschbach, Walter Leschig, Robert Gerroll, Virginia & Bob Barbeau, Lawrence & Luann Gerroll, Shirley & Roy Kretsch, and Janice & Ralph Engelhardt.

Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo (1121 North 14th Street) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry. Leo will be laid to rest at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo (1121 North 14th Street) Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 until 10:45 a.m.
