Complications Take Life of W. Dirkman.
Complications yesterday afternoon at 3:45 o’clock claimed the life
of Walter Dirkman, Two Rivers farmer, at the family homestead where
he had resided for the past 16 years. He would have been 42 years
of age tomorrow.
Born in the town of Kossuth on October 22, 1888, Dirkman was a lifelong
county resident. He attended schools of the vicinity and on October 28,
1913, he married Miss Clara Heinzen. He leaves seven children, Ruth,
Mabel, Lorraine, Lucile, Helen, Edmund and Paul, all at home; his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Workman, Manitowoc; a brother John on the family
farm; and five sisters, Miss Katherine, Milwaukee, Mrs. F. J. Lallensack,
Mrs. Paul Holsbach, and Sisters Valentia and Edmund of the Holy Family
convent. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Catholic
Knights.
Funeral services will be held from the home at 9:30 o’clock and from the
Holy Cross Church at Mishicot at 10 o’clock Thursday morning with Father
Gonnering officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
