NAMPA — Funeral services for Edwin DeWald, 65, of 512 8th Ave. So., Nampa, died Thursday at his home following a short illness, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Alsip Funeral Chapel.
Pastor Frank Solberg, of the Zion Lutheran Church, of Nampa will officiate. Interment will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery near Boise.
Mr. DeWald was born Jan. 14, 1906, of Lydia, Kan. He moved to Rexburg, at an early age, and attended school there. The family moved to Nampa in 1922. He was married to Bonita McClure on May 20, 1937. He owned and operated the DeWald Motor Company here for a period of 40 years. He was baptized a member or the Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bonita DeWald of Nampa; two brothers, Harold DeWald of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Jack DeWald of Emmett; seven sisters, Mrs. Amelia Asselin of San Francisco; Mrs. Arch (Edith) Taylor, of Nampa, Freda Dewa1d of Nampa, Mrs. James (Elsie) Bonar of Westminster, Calif, Mrs. Jack (Irene) Bowen of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Al (Lila) Stookey of Carmichael, Calif., and Mrs, Keith (Agnes) Angleton, of Riggins; a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother and by one sister, Mrs. Bertha Priest of Pocatello.
