NAMPA — Services were being arranged Tuesday for John DeWald, 86, Nampa, who died Monday.

Mr. DeWald was born July 25, 1875, in Hussenbach, Russia, and moved to the United States in 1901. He resided in Kansas and moved to eastern Idaho in 1913. He was married Nov. 2, 1902, to Anna Proppe at Ellenwood, Kan. They lived in Rexburg until 1922 when they moved to Nampa. They have made their home here since that time. He farmed south of here, retiring in 1947. Mr. DeWald was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife of Nampa, include three sons, Ed of Nampa, Jack of Emmett, and Harold of Huntington Beach, Calif.; seven daughters, Mrs. Agnes Angleton of Riggins, Mrs. Amelia Asselin of Fresno, Mrs. Edith Taylor and Miss Freda DeWald, both of Nampa, Mrs. Irene Bowen of Belmont, Calif., Mrs. Elsie Bonar of Seal Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Lila Stookey of Riverside, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The Alsip Chapel will announce services.
