Donald was the son of Edward "Patsy" Voll and Catherine Meiners. In 1958 he married Loretta Skaggs and they had three children: Donald, Michael and Teresa. He was a retired self-employed house painter. Donald died at the Alliant Medical Pavilion at the age of 62.
