MRS. CAROLINE DAVIS
Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Weller Davis, 85, of 1316 Harrison St., who died at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday in St Lukes's hospital, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the McGinnis funeral home, Bettendorf. Elder Charles Shippey, Davenport will officiate and buriai will be in Oakdale cemetery.
Mrs. Davis was born in Canada, April 28, 1870, and was the daughter of the late Mason[sic], and Elmira Weedmark.
She married J. W. Davis in Lamoni, la., May 11, 1896. He preceded her in death two years ago. The couple moved to Davenport in 1918. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Louis Vedder, Gardenia, Calif.; Mrs. Glenn Hicks, Redwood, Calif; Mrs. Darwin Vaughn, Mrs. Nelle Bivens, and Mrs. Gertrude Angell, all of Davenport; one son, Ivan Mowat of McCausland, la., 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
