CHILD IS HURT IN ACCIDENT
Suffers Fractured Skull In Yard At His Home
Three-year-old Paul Salta, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Salta of Two Rivers
route 1, is a patient at the Municipal hospital in Two Rivers with a
serious skull fracture suffered in an automobile accident in the year at
his parents’ home last night.
The lad was struck by a car being backed out of the yard by Wenzel Kanera,
Two Rivers route 1, last night, about 6:45 o’clock. Kanera reported the
mishap to Two Rivers police and then to the sheriff.
According to reports the lad was alongside the car as Kanera started out
of the Salta yard. The Salta home is located between Mishicot and Stangel’s
Corners. In some way the boy must have moved hurriedly and got behind the
car.
His condition is favorable at present but still is considered critical. In
addition to the skull fracture he received cuts and bruises about the head.

Paul, two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Salta, R. 1, Two Rivers,
died at the municipal hospital at Two Rivers Saturday from injuries
received July 19 when struck by a car being backed out of the driveway
at the home on July 19. The child’s skull was fractured. The car was
driven by Wenzel Canera, who had just made a business call on the
parents. The youngster was playing in the yard as Kanera backed away
from the house and in some way moved hurriedly and got into the way of
the car. Kanera reported the accident to the Two Rivers police and to
the sheriff. Funeral services for the child were held Tuesday morning.
Besides the parents, two sisters and three brothers survive.
