Charlottetown lost an old and respected resident in the death of Mrs. Lawrence W. Watson who passed away at the Charlotte Residence early Tuesday morning in her 81st year.
She was formerly Eleanor Massey DesBrisay, the daughter of Theophilus and Dorcas DesBrisay, and was born in Charlottetown on November 5, 1858.
She was married to Mr. Lawrence W. Watson, who was formerly in the drug business in Charlottetown and was for thirty-five years organist in St. Peter's Cathedral here. Mr. Watson passed away in 1925.
The late Mrs. Watson was a woman of sterling character beloved by all who knew her, and was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Cathedral.
Mrs. James Simpson of Charlottetown is a sister; five others predeceased her.
There are two sons, one daughter and seven grandchildren. The sons are Russell, manager of the Royal Bank of Canada at Ottawa, and Norman, who is with the C. N. R. at Montreal. The daughter is Mrs. Reginald Morris of Charlottetown.
