Mrs. Emma J. Sechrist
Mrs. Emma Jane (Stein) Sechrist, wife of the late John F. Sechrist, formerly of 513 East Philadelphia street, died at 11:30 o'clock Saturday evening at the Maxell Convalescent home, 830 West Market street. She was 82.
Mrs. Sechrist was a daughter of the late Jacob A. and Elizabeth Crumbling Stein. Her husband died 17 years ago. She was a member of Christ Lutheran church and Sunday school, belonging to the Ladies Mixed Bible class, taught by Mrs. Smyser.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Clarence M. Stein, 1419 Second avenue, Elmwood; Mrs. Charles R. Snyder, Seaford, Del., and Mrs. Clarence P. Gnau, 1413 First avenue, Elmwood; 10 grandchildren ; 11 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. John F. Kauffman and Mrs. Frank Wolf, both of York.
Rev. Dr. Gerald G. Neely, her pastor, will officiate at funeral services to be held at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Burg Funeral home Red Lion. Interment will be in Freysville cemetery.

SECHRIST—On Nov. 22, 1947, at 11:30 p.m., at the Maxell Convalescent home, 630 West Market street, York, Mrs. Emma Jane Stein Sechrist, wife of the late John F. Sechrist. aged 82 years, 11 months and 21 days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with all services at the Burg Funeral home, Red Lion. Interment in Freysville cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening, 7 to 9 o'clock. 61-n24-2t.

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Jane (Stein) Sechrist, wife of the late John F. Sechrist, formerly of 513 East Philadelphia street, who died Saturday at the Maxell Convalescent home, 830 West Market street, were held yesterday afternoon at the Burg Funeral home, Red Lion.
Rev. Dr. Gerald G. Neely, pastor of Christ Lutheran church, officiated. Two selections, "In The Garden" and "Home, Sweet Home" were sung by a ladies' trio composed of Mrs. Mabel Stein Gladfelter, Mrs. Russell Stine and Mrs. Eugene Stein. Mrs. Paul Hangen accompanied.
These grandsons and grandsons-in-law were the pallbearers: Russell, Clair and Kenneth Stine, Robert Snyder, Edward Mann and Meredith Neiman. Interment was in Freysville cemetery.
