*** Mrs. Ellen Wolf widow of the late Frank Wolf died at 1 a.m. today at the York Hospital.
She was 83 years old. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Stein, she resided more recently at the Mr. Herman Convalescent Home, York R.D. 7.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday from the Burg Funeral Home. Interment will be in Freysville Cemetery. (Jan 22 1951)

** Barbara Ellen Stein, is the daughter of Jacob Stein and Elizabeth Crumbling. Barbara Ellen was born May 23, 1867 or 1868. Her death certificate is found but they got her and her husband's first wife as the same birth year 1877, but all records and the birth certificate shows a age of 83, crossed out and 73 inserted. A red mark shows confusion, but they knew she was 83, and all census records confirm 1867-1868 as the year. She was always listed as B. Ellen Wolf.
