She was predeceased by her spouses William McKenzie and Gaston McBryde; her parents; her siblings Adrian L. Shuford Jr., Mary Shuford Palmer and Betty Shuford Yount; and is survived by her “baby” brother, Henry Shuford (Nancy).
“Grannie Annie”, as she was affectionally known, took great delight in her family, including her two daughters, Anne Shuford McKenzie and Barbara McKenzie Scott (Jim); three grandchildren, Robin Harvey (Jennifer), Margaret Lawrence (Jamie), and Kathy Rummage (Abe); and six great-grandchildren, Elise, Michael and William Harvey, Gavin Lawrence, and Brodie and Mack Rummage. She also deeply loved her many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Anne’s life will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 24 at Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church in Blowing Rock.
A second memorial service will be held at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church at a date to be announced in the near future.
Donations honoring Anne's memory may be made to: Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church, Saint Andrews College in Laurinburg, and Laurinburg Presbyterian Church.
