OWEN ELLIS HUMPHREY , 58, of Middle Granville, N. Y., died Jan. 3, 1999, at Rutland Regional Medical Center, in Rutland,Vermont.
He was born in Rutland, Vermont May 8, 1940 the son of Evan and Katherine (Rowlands) Humphreys. He married Shirley (Williams) Humphrey on Sept. 16, 1964. Mr.Humphrey enlisted in U.S. Army after high school, after his discharge in 1967 he made his home in Middle Granville, New York. He was employed at the Howe Richardson Scale Co, Rutland , Vt. from 1967 to 1969 and at General Electric Co, Rutland, V., from 1969 until his retirement in 1997. He leaves his wife, two daughters, Jacqueline Millsap, Gwen Marie Humphrey, a son, Danny Humphrey all of Middle Granville,
N.Y. Two sisters, Joan H. Bixby of North Clarendon, Vt., and Mary Warner of Rutland,Vt, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, John R. Humphreys in 1951.

Graveside services for Owen Ellis Humphrey of Middle Granville, N.Y. who died Jan. 3, 1999, was held today in Poultney,Vt. cemetery. Military honors were provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion of Granville, N. Y.
