Curby Graham, currently serving in Iraq, and 1st Lt. Mark Jepsen, currently serving in Afghanistan.
Visitation will be held at St. John's Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until time of services Tuesday.
Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Bud was born Sept. 25, 1922, to Henry and Rose (Bohman) Weigel at the East McMillan farm where he lived and worked his entire life. As a child, Buddy attended St. John's Parochial School and was a graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. On Oct. 18, 1944, he married his wife and soulmate, Agnes Staeck, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Halder. He took over the operation of the farm and worked it until his retirement, and then still some.
He was a lifelong member of St. John's Catholic Church. He was also an active member of the Rozellville Lions Club and the town of Marshfield Volunteer Fire Department, and was a town of Marshfield board member and an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus. "Busy Buddy" always had an active social calendar. Whether it was playing cards, going to Hodag, traveling or working at the farm, he was always surrounded by friends and family. He enjoyed German food and polka music. His beloved wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were bright spots in his life. He always kept special treats in his "looking drawer" for the little visitors he often had. He lived his life by his faith, was full of integrity and he was a great patriarch and inspiration to his family and friends.
Bud is survived by his wife, Agnes, and his children. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is further survived by three sisters, Roselyn Adler of Marshfield, Marie Hustedt of Wausau and Isabelle Bushman of Stevens Point.
He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Jacob, and a sister, Dorothy.
In lieu of flowers the family will designate a memorial in his name at a later date.
The family would like to thank Dr. Erickson, Dr. Anderson and Dr. Fagbemi, along with the staff at Three Oaks and Ministry Medical Hospice for the outstanding care and attention given to Bud and for the support given to his family during his last few months. We are truly blessed to have had such wonderful people involved in his care.
