Arlin was born to Alexander and Nina Maleta Bloomfield. He was the youngest of nine children. He married Kathleen Ford on 3 Jun 1960 with whom he had five children. He graduated from Brigham Young University as a Civil Engineer in 1963 and they eventually settled in Centerville, Ut. Kathleen died in the fall of 1985 and he remarried on 16 Mar 1991 to Dovona Sue Jeffreys; He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served two years as a missionary in the North Central States Mission in 1955-1957.
He is survived by his wife Sue; children, Rolan (Heather), Steven (Kris), Bryan (Darci), Julie Ann (Doug) Husbands, Karlynn (Richard) Welling, Michael (Karen) Jeffreys, Patrick Jeffreys and Linda Durham; 33 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brothers, Glen and Jay and sisters, Mae Gearsbach and Rhea Pehrson.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife; parents; brothers Owen, George, Melvin, and Don.
