Benjamin Areford died at his home near Khedive, July 14, 1889. He was the father of Calvin, Daniel, Wm H, Milton and George Areford. Years ago he united with the CP Church of Muddy Creek, but owing to paralysis and other infirmaties he could not attend in his last days. He lived to a good old age of 74 and died two days after his birthday. He was well known and his funeral was well attended. The older citizens say he "fought the good fight." How impressive to children when their sires preceed them into the other world.
