Amanda was prognosis of having cancer of the stomach.
Note: Mrs. C B Casey was her daughter Ida Mae Sutton Casey.
Interesting note: Amanda's sister in-law Frances Fryer wife of John Fryer. John's brother was Jerry Fryer who was elected County Sheriff of Pinal Co Arizona in 1885 and took office in January of 1886. Amanda's sister was Christiana Phy at one time, she had married Josephus Phy but ended in divorce, well Josephus was made under Sheriff to Deputy Gabriel at one time, and both of them never seemed to have liked each orther. So Gabriel after he retired, he hung around in Florence. So sooner or later they would meet in the Tunnel Salon and shots were fired. It became a classic gun fight that Hollywood would use in many scenes. Josephus would die of his wounds and Gabriel lived, the people in town had said if Jerry Fryer was in town at that time, this would had never happen, but Jerry being County Sheriff had many duties that required him in traveling around the County, so more that likely this fight was bound to happen.
