Lawrence was in the United States Navy and served
in World War 11 in the Pacific.

He was born to Richard and Leavy Berg Moe in
Albany, Oregon.

Lawrence was my last remaining Uncle. He was
my mothers youngest brother and the only one
I knew very well.


He died in Florida and his body will be shipped
out to Oregon so he can be buried beside his
first wife Norma Current Moe. Burial will be
Thursday March 2, 2017 in Sweet Home, Oregon.

Lawrence Moe Dec. 1, 1921 - Feb. 22, 2017



Lawrence Clifford Moe, 95, of Deland, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017.

He was born Dec. 1, 1921 in Albany to John Richard and Leavy Olivia (Berg) Moe.

He was raised in Sweet Home. He served in the United States Navy for three years during World War II, stationed in Hawaii.

Lawrence worked at the Santiam Lumber Mill before going into the Navy. After returning he continued working at the mill until 1967.

He moved to Deland, Florida in 1968. He was an avid deer hunter while he lived in Oregon. He loved camping.

Lawrence is survived by his children: Kent, Larry, Brenda, Leisa, Monica, Mylea and Germaine; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; ex- wife Lancy; and many nieces and nephews, including Alice Morton.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Jean (Current) Moe in 1964 in Sweet Home; and his eight siblings.

Graveside service with Military Honors will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, at Gilliland Cemetery.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
