CLIFFORD LAFFERTY, 75, DIES SUNDAY MORNING
Clifford Lisle Lafferty, 75, a resident of 207 Linn Street, died at 3:40 Sunday morning at the Cass County Memorial Hospital. He had been hospitalized since Tuesday.
The son of Charles Sherman Lafferty and Minnie Bell Franks, was born February 16, 1897 in Grant, Iowa, and lived in the Lewis-Atlantic area all his life. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Walnut Grove Products. Mr. Lafferty was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving besides his wife, the former Galore Delaney Lange, are a son, Darold (Butch) Lafferty, Stockton, California; a daughter, Mrs. Warren Irish, Santa Cruz, California; two step daughters, Mrs. Leo Robinson of Lewis and Mrs. Beverly Olsen of Camanche; four sisters, Mrs. Hester Arnold, Crestwood Nursing Home, Anita; Mrs. Gene Sands of Red Oak, Mrs. Charles Crawford, Bushnell, Illinois; brother Fred Lafferty, Burlington; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Enfield in 1936 and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Wednesday morning at the Roland Funeral Hie, the Rev. Arnold M. Kramer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Lewis.
