OBITUARY
Mrs. Louisa Jane McBride was born in Alabama in 1823. She was married to Nathaniel Scott, Dec. 22, 1842. To this union were born nine children, four of whom are living; S.N. Scott, of Norman, N.B. Scott, of Franklin, Mrs. L.B. Martin, of Bellville, Arkansas and Mrs. W.T. Maddon, of Purcell. Mrs. Scott united with the M.E. church south when she was a child and has lived a practical Christian life. No call for help ever came from the sick or needy without a response from her. All knew her to love her. She came from Purcell to Norman to visit her son a week ago and was apparently will when she arrived but took the pneumonia in the night and died April 16th, 1907, at 4 o'clock a.m. The remains were interred by the side of her son in the cemetery at Little River Falls.
