On October 28, 1967 in South Bend, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Patricia A. “Patty” Ream. Roy is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patty, along with a daughter, Starla (Danny) Gasaway, of Evansville, IN; and by Dawn & Aaron Reitman, who has been just like a daughter and son-in-law to Roy and Patty. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jerry, Amrhest, and Crystal Clark, a sister, Carolyn (Vester) Dean of Downsville, LA; and his brother-in-law, Ronald G. He was preceded in death by his parents, and six brothers, Donald, Modell, Huey, Harold, Paul, and his twin brother, Troy.
Mr. Hinton was employed with Fabricated Steel, and later as a General Foreman with Alro Steel. He retired as a Surveyor with DLZ, and Lawson-Fisher Associates.
