(1930 - 2017)

Irene M. Dvorak, age 86, a longtime resident of Two Rivers, went peacefully to her eternal rest Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Harbor View Assisted Living, Manitowoc.

Irene was born August 9, 1930, in Two Rivers, a daughter of the late Adam and Helen (Zywicki) Wachowski. On May 5, 1951, she married Gordon O. Dvorak at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Irene and Gordon enjoyed family, friends, and traveling together. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2008. Irene was employed for many years at Paragon Co., retiring in 1992. She was a volunteer at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, a member of the "Coming Home" Choir at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, enjoyed flower gardening, and dancing, especially polkas and waltzes. Irene loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and traveling with her nieces.

Survivors include her children: Diane (Barry) Tenpas of Germantown, Steve (Marsha) Dvorak of DePere and Mark (Lisa) Dvorak of Cumberland; a son-in-law: Richard Vogel of Two Rivers; her grandchildren: Eric (McKensie) Vogel, Kristin Vogel, Michael and Sarah Tenpas, Samuel, Brett, and Sophia Dvorak, Stacie and Ryan Fischer; her great grandchildren: Taylor Marie Vogel, Parker and Grady Olsen and Brylee Fischer; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter: Nancy M. Vogel and her sisters and brothers: Mary Pokorsky, Frank Wachowski, Theodore Wachowski, Richard Wachowski, John Wachowski, Annie Braun and Agnes Lodel.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass at 10:30 a.m. There will be no Friday evening visitation.
