"Cad" Wilburn married Mary Elizabeth Frazar on December 4, 1904. They were the parents of four sons. Cad and Mary were divorced by 1920.
According to his obituary, Cad Wilburn died at the home of a cousin in Old River Terrace, which is today the eastern side of Channelview, Texas. Cad's obituary also states that he was buried in the Wilburn Cemetery in Cove, Texas.

OBITUARY FROM THE BAYTOWN SUN: Cadimus A. Wilburn Claimed By Death
Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Wilburn cemetery, near Cove, for Cadimus Ardie Wilburn, 66, who died at 7 p.m. Saturday at the home of a cousin, W. J. Stubbs, in Old River Terrace. Rev. Hughie Woods, pastor of the Assembly of God church, Pelly, conducted the services. Burial was under the direction of Paul U. Lee. Three sons are survivors. They are Percy Wilburn of Robstown, Jesse L. Wilburn of Mont Belvieu and Ross H. Wilburn of Dayton. A sister, Mrs. Agnes Barrow of Simmons, Texas, also survives.
