Ruth was the 4th & youngest child of Ralph and Anna Livingston. She had two brothers, Blair and Lewis plus one sister Esther. Born and raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, Ruth stayed in that neighborhood all of her life.
Ruth married Daniel Lewis Dunnigan on November 3, 1949 when she was 17 & had one daughter followed by three sons. After his death, Ruth became the common law wife of Elwood Jones & had three more daughters.
Ruth lost her first born, Patricia, in 2011 & her first born son, Lewis, in 2012. Then lost her 2nd born son, Phillip, in 2019.
