Gerald F Kanugh, 94, Chandler AZ, formerly of Manitowoc WI, died Friday, June 23, 2017.

Gerald (Geri) was born July 7, 1922, in Two Rivers, WI, son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Adams) Kanugh. He graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1940. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the European Theater and was a lifetime member of AmVets Post 99. Gerald was employed at Manitowoc Engineering for 41 years - 25 years as a machinist and 16 years as a Numerical Control Programmer. He retired in 1981 and had resided in AZ since 1984. Geri was a very good dancer, carpenter and musician playing both the piano and accordion. He enjoyed playing cards and participated in numerous sports.

Gerald married Helen Jedryzka in Charleroi, Belgium on September 22, 1945. He then married Mary (Albright) Herzfeldt on August 25, 1978.

Survivors include children: Diane (Joe) Krupinsky, Bismarck ND; Marion (Mike) Karpinski, Jacksonville OR; Paul Kanugh, DePere, WI; and Steve (Jeannie) Kanugh, Franklin, WI; two stepchildren: Michael (Debbie) Herzfeldt, Manitowoc WI; and Kristina Wells, Hereford, AZ. Other survivors include daughter-in-law Julie Kanugh, Appleton, WI; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Geri was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; son George; daughter-in-law Patricia Kanugh; and siblings Rosemary Novak, Delores Finney, Joe Kanugh, Ray Kanugh and two infant sisters.

Funeral services will be held on July 28 at St. Stevens Catholic Church, Sun Lakes AZ. Gerald will be interred in the Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, Sun Lakes, AZ.
