Raymond J. Kanugh, age 69, of 1004 Buchholz, St., Two Rivers, died Sunday, March 19, 2000, at the Hamilton Memorial Home.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels and 11 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Larry Seidl, with burial to follow in Knollwood Memorial Gardens.

Ray was born April 16, 1930, in Two Rivers, son of the late Joseph and Agnes Adams Kanugh. He attended St. Luke Parochial and Two Rivers Washington High School, graduating with the class of 1948. Ray served in the United States Air Force, from 1948 to 1953. While stationed at Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery Ala., he met his future wife, E. Jean Donahoo, who he married on June 14, 1952, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Montgomery, Ala. Mr. Kanugh was a member of the Two rivers Fire Dept. for 25 years serving as fire chief from 1980 until his retirement on December 31, 1985. He was a charter fishing boat captain in Two Rivers for 15 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling golfing and traveling.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Kanugh; three children, Mike (Kathy) Kanugh, Milwaukee, Debbie (Dave) Altergott, Two Rivers, Tony Kanugh, Two Rivers; grandchildren include, Craig, Eric, Steven, David and Jacob Kanugh, Carrie, Nathan, Tracy, Brad and Brian Altergott; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Rosie Novak, Manitowoc, Delores and Don Finney, Arizona; many nieces, nephews, and special family friends, Terrie Ferraro and her son, Tom also survive.

Friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday (TONIGHT). A parish prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
