Funeral will be at 3:30 Saturday at Rainbow-Southside Chapel for Gorden G Chambers, 81, 3504 Greenview Ave, who died Friday, September 8, 1989. Brooks Boyd, Minister, will officiate. Burial at Rainbow Memorial Park. Rainbow-Southside Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr Chambers was a native of Etowah County and a retired employee of Republic Steel after 17 years as a machinist. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs Pansie Chambers; daughter Glennell Chambers, Rainbow City; two grandchildren, Jeff and Sharon Chambers; two great-grandchildren, Scott and Joey Chambers, Alabama City; three sisters, Mrs Vida Barnett, Glencoe, Mrs Velma Walker, Gadsden, and Mrs Tressie Helms, Anniston.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 tonight.
