Veronica C. Wagner, age 93, a lifelong resident of Manitowoc County, died early Tuesday morning, October 24, 2017 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
She was born on April 14, 1924 in the town of Eaton, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Meyer) Knier. On October 27, 1948 she married Alex C. Wagner at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2001.
Survivors include seven nieces, eight nephews and their families.
She was also preceded in death by three nephews: Wenzel Knier Jr., Joseph Knier, Marvin Knier; one niece: Barb Wester; and four brothers and sisters-in-law and two sisters and brothers-in-law: Wenzel & Josephine Knier, Margaret & Clement Ciske, Alex & Elsie Knier, Isadore & Valeria Knier, August & Betty Knier and Loretta & Robert Krepline.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m Monday, October 30, 2017 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Patrick Nelson, S.D.S. with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc, at a later date.
