Mrs. Joseph Knier, Sr. Funeral serves for Mrs. Joseph Knier, Sr. 70, Route 1, Valders, who passed away Thursday at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wagner, were held Monday. A brief service at 9:30 a.m. at the Kellenberg Funeral home was followed by a 10 a.m. mass at St. Gregory's Catholic church, St. Nazianz. Burial was made in the church cemetery. Mrs. Knier, nee
Anna Meyer, was born in 1879, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Matthias Meyer. In 1912 she was married to Joseph Knier, and the couple resided on the Knier farm for 37 years. They spent the winter months with their daughter.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Clemens Ciske, Menasha, Mrs. Robert Krepline and Mrs. Alex Wagner of Valders; four sons, Wenzel of Valders; Alex of Chilton, and Isidore of Kiel, and August of Glenbeulah; one sister, Mrs. Barbara Peters of Stratford, Wis.; one brother, Math. Meyer of St. Nazianz; and eight grandchildren.
