HARTWELL, Ga. -- Mrs. Gladys Johnson Gaines, 65, of 100 Shirley's Way, formerly of Robbins, N.C., died Thursday in Dwight Eisenhower Medical Center in Augusta.

Mrs. Gaines was a retired school teacher and a member of Flat Rock CME Church and the Missionary Society.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Bear Creek Congregational Church in Robbins by the Rev. J. Ronzell Maness.

Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery in Robbins.

Arrangements are being handled by Mack's Funeral Home of Hartwell.

Local arrangements are being handled by Person Funeral Home of Robbins.

Mrs. Gaines is survived by her husband, the Rev. Florence Gaines of Hartwell; two daughters, Terri Barrett of Robbins and Pamela Gaines of New Jersey; two brothers, Benjamin Johnson of South Hill, Va., and Joseph Johnson of Robbins; and three sisters, Marian Brooks, Laverne Williams, Priscilla J. Jones, all of Robbins.

The public will be received Monday from noon to 1 p.m. at Bear Creek Congregational Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Norman Grove CME Church benevolent fund, P.O. Box 6364, Elberton, GA 30635.
