Virginia Ann Smallwood, 80, Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Visitation will be Thursday, August 24, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Friday, August 25, in the funeral home chapel beginning at 12:00 noon, with Don McGuyer and Daniel Rosser officiating. Interment will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia.

Virginia was a member of Srygley Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smallwood; parents, Wilson and Flora Taylor; sisters, Dorothy Reeps and Betty Oliver; and brother, Chuck Taylor.

Virginia is survived by her children, Keith Smallwood (Teresa), Ken Smallwood, and Karen Walker (Walter); sister, Linda Delfunt; sisters-in-law, Virginia McCaig, Mary Catherine Inman, and Glenda Colagross; grandchildren, Jennifer Oliver (Mike) and Taylor Walker; great-grandchild, Ju Ju Oliver; and her very special beloved companion, Peppa.

Pallbearers will be Keith Jones, Tony Cothren, Darryl Ford, Ricky Hamm, Darby Davis, Roger Franks, and Percy Glover.

The family would like offer special thanks to Virginia's lifelong friend, Fay Burnett; Hospice of North Alabama; and to all of her sitters.
