She was born in East Prentiss, Mississippi on May 08, 1939. She grew up in Colbert County and attended Rock Creek School. She met William “Junior” Oliver in Spring Park in Tuscumbia and they married in 1959. They made their home in the Mountain Star community of Russellville. She was a homemaker and was very talented in sewing, quilting, crafting, gardening, cooking and baking.
A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Bethlehem Cemetery in Russellville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Oliver, Jr., an infant daughter; parents, Wilson and Floria Taylor; brother, Charles Vester Taylor; and sister, Dorothy Reeps.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Phillip Oliver (Vancouver, WA), Lynn Oliver (Russellville), and Lisa Massey (Russellville); sisters, Virginia Smallwood (Tuscumbia) and Linda Delfunt (Jasper).
