PRINCETON – Helen Fitzgerald, 93, of Princeton died Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Born December 14, 1925 at Garwood she was the daughter of the late Ira Belcher and Mae Lafferty Belcher.
Helen was a founding member of Herndon Freewill Baptist Church and also was a member of Christian Fellowship Chapel in Princeton. She collected angels and loved gospel music. She was a caregiver in private homes.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Fitzgerald; brothers, Estel, Ova and Calvin Belcher; sisters, Edna, Wanda Bailey and Virginia.
She is survived by sons, Jerry Fitzgerald and wife Yurong of Mint Hill, NC and Lanny Fitzgerald and wife Sharon of Princeton; grandchildren, Christopher Fitzgerald of Princeton, Brian Fitzgerald and wife Karen of Las Vegas, NV, Anthony Fitzgerald of Mt. Storm, WV and Angela Stewart of Vienna, WV; great grandchildren including Jarrod Fitzgerald of King George, VA, who was the love of her life.
Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 noon until 12:45 on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Buster Kestner officiating.
