Calvin Warren Belcher, 92, of Garwood, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Bower's Hospice House in Beckley. Calvin was born in Covel, WV to Ira V. and May Lafferty Belcher on January 11, 1924. He was a proud Army Veteran and one of the last of the great generation serving during World War II from 1943 to 1946 in Rhineland and Austria. Calvin was a trackman for the Virginia Railroad from 1943 until his retirement in 1984 when it became N&W and then Norfolk and Southern. He repaired and replaced track on the railroad and kept the right-of-way clean and walked many, many miles of track. He loved the railroad. He loved baseball and his home life, but most of all he loved his family. Calvin was a member of the Herndon Free Will Baptist Church, taking membership in 1985. In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by 19 days by his beloved wife of 67 years Dorothy Jean Conner Belcher. Also, one daughter Sharon Belcher Hall in 1994, one son, Steven Warren Belcher in 2011, two brothers, Ova and Estil and three sisters, Nellie, Wanda and Virginia. Calvin is survived by three children: Roger Belcher of Garwood, Phyllis Jennings and husband David of Princeton, and Carolyn Belcher of Garwood; Six grandchildren: Teresa Turrisi and husband Tony, Mark Hall and wife Kelly, Roger Dale Belcher, Jr., Cindy Jennings, Amanda Belcher and Nicholas Belcher; Four Great-Grandchildren: Carmine Turrisi, Nathan and Bryson Hall and Braelynn Hall, the apple of his eye; One sister: Helen Fitzgerald;

Many nephews and nieces, church family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 15, 2016,
