MOUNT VERNON - Laura Elaine (Lyons) Strouse, age 63, of Mount Vernon, OH, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at the Ohio States University James Cancer Hospital.
She was born on October 10, 1954, in Mount Vernon, OH, to the late Paul and Vioma (Fox) Lyons.
She enjoyed crafts, doing yard work and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Terry L. Strouse of Mount Vernon, OH, whom she married on February 22, 1992; her five children, Billy (Mary) Griffith of Newark, OH, David (Kim) Griffith of Howard, OH, Paula (Tony) Hart of Fredericktown, OH, Danny (Rachel) Griffith of Howard, OH and Carrie (Brandon) Butts of Danville, OH; ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren; eight siblings, Juney (Paul), Larry, Karen, Darlene, Marilyn, Donna, Christina and Janet and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lenoa and her brother, Ronnie.
Burial at Hopewell Cemetery, Knox County, OH.
