Janet I. Baney, age 80, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 14, 1942, in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of Paul and Vioma (Fox) Lyons. Janet worked as a cook for Watts Restaurant in Utica for over 30 years after retiring on her birthday in 2004.
She is survived by her children; Darrell Baney of Mount Vernon, Debrah Morgan of Mount Vernon, Barry Baney of Charleston, West Virginia and Susan Flack of Mount Vernon; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; siblings, Larry Lyons, Paul Lyons, Darlene Leber, Karen Lake, Marilyn Fletcher and Chris Hunt.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Darrell Baney and siblings, Ronald, Laura, Leona and Donna.
