Thankful was the daughter of William and Esther Davis Slade Jr. She was one of a group who banned together to compose the Old Brick Church, located directly across the road from this cemetery. Thankful married John Weeks in Woodbury, Litchfield Co, CT on 16 March 1769. One of their children was Rhoda Weeks who married Chester Kingsley. Rhoda and Chester ran the Kingsley Grist-Mill in East Clarendon in 1825 and lived in a house built in 1778, which remains standing next to the Old Kingsley Mill and the Kingsley Covered Bridge in East Clarendon.
