Roy Dean Daniels "Diz" 1929 ~ 2007 Roy Dean Daniels, 76, died April 27, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a short but valiant battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 9, 1929, in Annabella, Utah to William Stafford and Elizabeth Ann Tuttle Daniels. He married Georgia Parker, June 4, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The family moved from Richfield to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1965. He retired from JC Penney Company in 2002. Survived by wife of 58 years, children Debbie Daniels, and Camille (Allan) Cartwright, grandchildren Amy (Hugh) Theurer, Jeff (Tanya) Cartwright and great-grandchild Avery Jade Cartwright, his "Sweet Little Punkin". Two brothers-in-law Virgil Brown, Lawrence (Marlene) Parker, and four sisters-in-law Merlene Daniels, Arlene Mendenhall, Jeannine Daniels, and Beverly Parker. Preceded in death by parents, four brothers and six sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cottonwood Heights 1st Ward, 7075 South 2250 East. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the services. Interment at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
