Joe A. Daniels, 80, died February 27, 2004 in Murray, Utah, after a short, but valiant battle with cancer. His brother Robert S. Daniels passed away later that same day.
Born June 2, 1923, Annabella, Utah to William Spafford and Elizabeth Ann Tuttle Daniels. Married Merlene Parker, March 21, 1947 in the Manti Temple.

Joe served his country during World War II in the European theatre. He owned and operated Joe's Texaco Service for 20 years. His true joy in life was his family.

Survived by loving wife of 57 years; children, Jolene (David) Bishop, Bart (Patti) Daniels, Susan Ambos; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grand-children; brothers, Clay (Leah) Hendrickson, Glenwood, Utah, Roy Dean (Georgia) Daniels, SLC, Utah; brother-in-law, Virgil Brown, St. George, Utah; sister-in-law, Jeanine Daniels, Richfield, Utah; many loved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, three brothers, and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tues. March 2, 2004, 11 a.m. at Cottonwood Heights 4th Ward (2522 E. 6710 S.). Family and friends may call at Memorial Estates Mountain View Mortuary (3115 E. 7800 S.) from 6-8 p.m. Mon. March 1, and 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. As an alternative to flowers, contributions can be sent to the American Cancer Society.
