CHARLES ESTEL ROBERTSON JR. 1943 - 2000

Charles E. "Butch" Robertson Jr, son of Charles Estel and Wilma Olive Mayfield Robertson was born on Sunday, September 19, 1943 in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois and died at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2000 in the Blessing Hospital at Quincy, Adams County, Illinois. Due to a huge winter ice storm that came through the Quincy area on Friday the 15th and Saturday the 16th of December 2000, his burial was was delayed and he was later buried on the 18th of December in Lot #72 at the Paloma Cemetery west of the small village of Paloma in Honey Creek Township, Adams County, Illinois . He was 1st married to Jo Ann Summers in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois sometime in 1963. He and Jo Ann had a son they named Monty Ray Robertson. He 2nd Married Kerry Sue Inman Althiede in June of 1970, by whom he had twin children, Kimberly Sue and Timothy Robertson. He and Sue were later divorced and Butch then met Sally Breurer Vonburg, they had a common law marriage and remained living together until his death in December of the year 2000.

He served 4 years in the US Navy as a member of one of the US Navy's elite UDT's (Under Water Demolition Team 11) and was a veteran of the Viet Nam War. His unit kept the South Viet Nam harbors free of mines during his tour of duty in South East Asia.
