Micajah Mayfield Sr., son of James Mayfield Sr. and his 1st wife, (...?) and a step-son to Ellender Conner Mayfield, was born in the year 1748 in Albemarle County, Virginia, (he was recorded as still alive and living in Knox County, Indiana in the year 1837) he died on Wednesday, February 22, 1838 in the home of his son James Mayfield, at Pleasantville, Sullivan County, Indiana and is buried there in the United Methodist Church Cemetery, less than 100 yards from the dwelling in which he died.
