MICAJAH MAYFIELD SR., 1748 - 1838

Micajah Mayfield Sr., son of James Mayfield Sr. and his 1st wife, (...?) and a step-son to Ellender Conner Mayfield, was born in the year 1748 in Albemarle County, Virginia, (he was recorded as still alive and living in Knox County, Indiana in the year 1837) he died on Wednesday, February 22, 1838 in the home of his son James Mayfield, at Pleasantville, Sullivan County, Indiana and is buried there in the United Methodist Church Cemetery, less than 100 yards from the dwelling in which he died.

DEATH AND BURIAL PLACE OF MICAJAH MAYFIELD:

The following is an extract from the records of the Indiana DAR, (Daughters of the American Revolution).

"... Micajah Mayfield died on 22 September 1838 and is buried in the cemetery adjacent to the United Methodist Church in Pleasantville, Sullivan County, Indiana. ..."
