Richard E. Seifert, 77, 479 Winner Road, Sharon, Pa., died at 2:10 p.m. Thursday at Sharon Regional Health System in Sharon.

Mr. Seifert was born May 21, 1914, in Alliance, to George and Anna Richard Seifert, and graduated from Alliance High School in 1932. He retired in 1979 as foundry superintendent from National Castings Co., formerly of Sharon.

His wife, Deane (Temple), died Oct. 23, 1990. They were married Dec. 3, 1938.

Mr. Seifert is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Danny (Wendy) Thomas of Chicago, Mrs. Thomas (Susan) Schratzmer of Oak Brook Terrace, Ill., and Miss Sally Seifert of Forest Grove, Ore.; a son, James Paul of the home; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Sample-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 555 E. State St., Sharon, with the Rev. Willard Q. Lang of Victory Assembly of God in Lowellville officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Memorial
Park.

Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Catholic Charities, 126 N. Des Plaines, Chicago, Ill., 60606.
