Gabriel Thomas age 89 of Knoxville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, August 11, 2018. Gabe was a Charter Member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Lenoir City. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Mildred Posey Thomas; daughter, Debra Thomas; parents, Minnie Kidd and John Henry Thomas; brothers, Aaron and Cleo Thomas. Survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Becky Thomas of Knoxville; grandchildren: Bradley (Elaine) Thomas of Cypress, TX, Bryan (Joanna) Allison of Lenoir City, Jennifer (Steve) Schroth of Murfreesboro, TN; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; sisters-in-law: Gaylia Strunk of Knoxville, Violet Cross of Oneida, Kathleen Smith of Garland, TX along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Eddie Chasteen officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 Wednesday morning and proceed to Loudon County Memorial Gardens for graveside services at 11 a.m. Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
